Families rejoice in chanukah celebrations

Festive frolickers made merry by igniting the spirit of joy during a Chanukah extravaganza at Congregation B’nai Jacob.

Mom, dad and the kids ushered in the Festival of Lights with a fun-filled voyage through carnival-style amusements and attractions, complete with prizes and do-it-yourself menorahs made from cans, plus sweet music.

Youngsters plied their skills in a variety of carnival-style games while the grown-ups assisted them at the house of worship, 401 Ninth Street.
