Call it a batters’ box lunch.
Knowing that the best way to a Brooklyn Cyclones fan’s heart is through his protruding pinstripe-clad stomach, the team is now offering free food with its five mini-plans.
Yes, you heard right, free food.
But be warned — roasted Sandy the Seagull is not on the menu, so don’t even ask. Instead, mini-plan buyers can expect a free hot dog or hamburger, soft drink and chips at each game for each ticket in the package, some of which are as low as $16.
The Cyclones offer seven different five-game packages from the Opening Day plan, which includes the first home game, to the Skyrocket Plan, which covers nights with free fireworks (typically Fridays).
There’s also a “Battle of the Bridge” plan — three games between the Mets Class A affiliate and the hated Staten Island Yankees. For once, yelling “Eat it, Yankees!” is appropriate.
