False alarm

A malefactor threatened a guy, punched him in the chest, and stole his money on Quentin Road on Aug. 6, police said.

The guy told police he had parked his car on Bedford Avenue and was walking home near E. 22nd Street at 2:45 am when the jerk came up from behind and said, “Give me your money, I got a gun.”

The lowlife then pushed him to the ground, punched him in the chest, and then grabbed his driver’s license, two credit cards, a keychain, and cash from his left pocket. The victim told police he couldn’t see any visible firearms, according to authorities.

Stolen stones

A bad guy broke into a woman’s Ocean Parkway home while she was at work on Aug. 2 and swiped a bunch of jewelry, police said.

The nogoodnik broke the lock of her front door near Kings Highway sometime between 8:30 am and 2:43 pm and stole a wad of cash, a purple and yellow engraved birthstone ring, a Tiffany ring, a butterfly Tiffany necklace, and a Tiffany heart key necklace, according to authorities.

Didn’t get far

Police cuffed a guy who they say broke into a store on Kings Highway on Aug. 6 and stole a wad of cash.

The suspect lifted up a steel metal gate, broke the glass door, and entered the store near E. 14th Street at 5:34 am, according to authorities. He pried open a register and took $90, and then removed a second register with $100 in it, police said. A witness saw the suspect leave the store through the back door, where police then spotted him and arrested him, according to a police report.
