Fiend sticks up pharmacy for drugs

Bad medicine

A robber held up a Leonard Street pharmacy clerk at gunpoint and made off with a cache of drugs on Jan. 13, cops said.

The pharmacist at the drugstore at the corner of Nassau Avenue told police the fiend came in at 9:34 am and leveled a firearm at him.

“Give me drugs,” he supposedly said as he pulled his piece from his backpack.

The pharmacist handed the man of variety of controlled substances and the villain vamoosed without firing a shot, police reported.

Stars and swipes

A jerk held up a delivery man at gunpoint and stole his food and cash on Monitor Street on Jan. 16, cops said.

The victim reported that he was on a delivery between Herbert and Richardson streets at 10:20 pm when the robber, who had his face covered with an American flag bandanna, put a gun in his face.

“Put the food down,” the robber supposedly said.

The delivery driver dropped his food and $100 in cash and the gunman grabbed them and ran, police stated.

Battery charge

A dastardly duo beat a man with a baseball bat and his own cane on First Street on Jan. 14, cops said.

The 63-year-old victim told cops that he was between Humboldt Street and Kingsland Avenue at 11:15 pm when the two bullies came up from behind him and one whacked him with a bat as the other grabbed his cane.

The pair hit him several times and ran off without stealing anything, cops said.

Police recovered a baseball bat around the corner, but have no suspects.
