FIND YOUR BLISS

Acclaimed knitter Debbie Bliss will appear
in Park Slope’s Stitch Therapy Thursday to lead two workshops
and share her extensive knowledge of woolens.

This is big news in the knitting world. The London-based Bliss
(pictured) has written several books of patterns and sells her
own line of yarn.

Stitch Therapy customers landed a visit by this wool warrior
after Bliss heard about the store’s "fantastic" yarns.

Bliss is hesitant to accept the label "celebrity knitter,"
but it’s quite common for people in the tight-knit yarn world
to approach her nervously, as some approach a movie star.

"I do enjoy it," she told The Brooklyn Papers. "It
connects me to the people who buy the books."

After the knitting workshops, Bliss will have dinner with Stitch
Therapy customers at the nearby Black Purl – make that Black
Pearl – restaurant.

Debbie Bliss will be at Stitch Therapy (176 Lincoln Pl. between
Seventh and Eighth avenues in Park Slope) on June 15 from 2:30-5:30
pm. The workshop fee is $75. The three-course dinner at Black
Pearl (833 Union St. between Sixth and Seventh avenues) is at
6:30 pm and costs $75. For information, call 718-398-2020 or
