Party among the dead at the magical event “A Night at Niblo’s Garden!” This spectacle will feature fire eaters, musicians, contortionists, and more, performing on and around Green-Wood Cemetery’s Crescent Water Lake, near the mausoleum of 19th-century nightlife impresario William Niblo. The show continues on Saturday night.

Team ’zine
Brooklyn’s most relaxed market for hand-made comics and magazines sets up in the back garden of Williamsburg bar Pete’s Candy Store this afternoon. Pete’s Mini Zine Festival will feature 25 local creators, including food writer Suze Myers, queer cartoonist John Jennison, and this paper’s own Arts Editor Bill Roundy (pictured), with his drawings of drunken monsters.

Spirits lifted!
The 10-day Giglio Italian Feast is already underway, but its most famous element — the Dancing of the Giglio — happens this afternoon! A 125-man platoon will hoist a 70-foot tower and parade it through the streets while a brass band plays! Watch the spectacle of strength, and then stick around for the street festival!

Vicious cycle
In New York City this year, 15 bicyclists have been killed by drivers, and plenty more have been injured. Comedians and bike enthusiasts Danny Felts, Jake Flores, and Ian Fidance (pictured) will fight tragedy with comedy tonight at “Stand Up! at Haven Cycles!” a stand-up show that will raise money for the Bike Messenger Emergency Fund.
