Uptown boy
Soulful Chicago singer JC Brooks blew us away at an intimate Greenpoint show a few weeks ago. His performance tonight at Brooklyn Bowl, with backing band the Uptown Sound, is sure to be much more raucous, but we expect that it will be just as great.

Pony keg
On Valentine’s Day, celebrate your love for cartoon ponies (you watch “My Little Pony,” just admit it). The three-day PonyCon celebrates the tiny magical equines (and the power of friendship) with artists, voice actors from the TV show, and pony-inspired bands like the Shakeups in Ponyville. Christmas in February
