Dick move

Watch the deliciously evil Duke of Gloucester lie, cheat, and murder his way to the top in Shakespeare’s “Richard III.” The Hip to Hip Theatre company will perform Shakespeare’s drama about the rise — and then dramatic fall — of the English king in Fort Greene Park, tonight only.

Sword play

The delightfully over-the-top martial arts movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” directed by Ang Lee, plays on the big screen tonight as part of the Bric Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival. Before the film, Lou Reed’s tai chi teacher will lead the crowd in the Eastern movement, while Reed’s music plays.

Coast is queer

Today is your final chance to see the exhibit “On the (Queer) Waterfront,” which examines the rich history of Brooklyn gay community during the 19th and early 20th centuries through photographs, ephemera, and artifacts, including an 1880 cigarette advertisement featuring then-famous drag king Ella Wesner.

Grin and Barry

Deadpan comedian and prolific tweeter Todd Barry takes over Gowanus hotspot Littlefield tonight for its regular “Has Guests” series. “Todd Barry Has Guests” will feature a great lineup of comics including Joe Machi, Janeane Garofalo, Shane Torres, Chloe Hilliard, and more.

Fine and Dandy

Jitterbug down to Dumbo tonight to catch Dandy Wellington and his band, who will bring the big band swing sound of the 1930s and ’40s to the weekly Live at the Archway series. Hula-hoop act Miss Saturn will open the show, and you should be sure to peep at the “Brooklynight” art exhibit, also on display.
