A woman pretending to get fresh picked a man’s pocket on Montrose Avenue on March 23.
The victim told police he was dancing at a friend’s apartment between Lorimer and Leonard streets at 2 am when a cute lady started bumping against him and touching his posterior.
About 20 minutes later, he noticed that his iPhone, which had been in the back pocket of his jeans, was missing. The victim told police he thought the woman was flirting with him.
Fixing a hole
Someone cut a hole in the ceiling of the a Moore Street liquor store and ran off with several bottles of scotch and a wad of cash on March 25.
The owner of the spirits shop between Graham Avenue and Humboldt Street told police that he when he opened the store at 10 am, he found a giant hole cut into his ceiling and about $500 worth of cash gone, as well as 12 bottles of Johnny Walker Black.
Bratty teens
Police arrested a trio of punk teens who they say jumped a 14-year-old boy and stole his phone on Powers Street on March 27.
The victim told police he was walking near Olive Street at 8:10 pm when three older teens started a fight with him. They allegedly threw him to the ground, kicked, and punched him in the face.
One of the teens put his hand into the victim’s pants pocket and stole his iPod and a cellphone, claim police. Three teens — aged 18, 15 and 14 — were arrested and charged with robbery and assault, cops reported.
Violent theft
A robber slapped the iPhone out of a man’s hand and then assaulted him in order to steal the phone on S. Third Street on March 31.
The victim told police he was walking near Driggs Avenue at 1:15 am when the robber ran up and smacked the phone out of his hand. When the victim bent down to pick up the phone, the robber kicked his hand, cutting his finger, and pushed him down on the ground.
The robber grabbed the phone and ran away.
Cat burglar
A bandit climbed up a woman’s fire escape on Scholes Street and into her rear bedroom window to steal several thousand dollars worth of electronics sometime between March 29 and March 31.
The victim told police she was gone for three days, and when she returned to her apartment between Graham Avenue and Humboldt Street at 3:45 pm on March 31, she found her rear window gaping open and her two Apple laptops gone, as well as her iPad, her Turkish and United States passports, her birth certificate, security cards, a diamond watch, and a stereo.
Too late
A senior accidentally left her purse sitting on a park bench on Havemeyer Street on March 30 — and when she came back 20 minutes later, it was gone.
The 72-year-old woman told police that she was sitting in the park near S. Fourth Street at 1 pm. When she got up from the bench, she forgot to bring her purse with her. She realized her mistake 20 minutes later and went back to get it, but it was gone.
The purse contained her credit cards, driver’s license, Medicare card, MetroCard, glasses, and $2.
With a machete
A robber used a machete and threats to get a man to turn over his wallet on Clymer Street on March 29.
The victim told police that he was near Division Avenue at 6:20 am when the thug asked him for his wallet and raised a machete in the air. The terrified victim gave up his wallet and the robber ran off on a red bicycle.
Didn’t want lo mein
A robber put a knife to the throat of a delivery man and stole his cash on S. Third Street on March 29.
The victim told police that he was making a delivery to a building between Rodney and Keap streets at 8:30 pm when a bad sport put a knife to his throat and made the gesture for money.
The deliveryman turned over $200 in cash and the robber ran off.
Mean to old ladies
A robber grabbed the purse off of the arm of a 68-year-old handicapped woman as she was stepping onto the M train at the Marcy Avenue station on March 28.
The victim told police she was on the Manhattan-bound platform at 5:20 pm and was about to get on the train when the robber grabbed the purse of her arm just before the doors closed.
The purse contained the woman’s driver’s license, Medicare card, Medicaid card, and $18.
One short, one tall
A diminutive thug and his friend attacked and robbed a woman as she walked home from church on Manhattan Avenue on March 27.
The woman told police that she was between Montrose Avenue and Meserole Street at 9:15 pm when the two men threw her to the ground, punched her repeatedly in the face, and then stole her purse.
The woman suffered cuts to her knees and bruising to her mouth. She told police that one of the men was abnormally short and had a thin build.
