Fontbonne Hall Academy is welcoming a new addition to its athletics department this season with the hiring of Peter Touros as the school’s new soccer coach — a move that brings extensive playing experience and a global perspective to the Bay Ridge campus.

Touros arrives at Fontbonne Hall with a resume that spans collegiate, international and street soccer. A former Division I and Division II collegiate player, Touros competed at Stony Brook and Queens College.

Early in his career, Touros earned rare international recognition when he was selected as one of only five players worldwide by Gatorade to travel abroad with professional clubs and federations. Those experiences included training sessions with FC Barcelona and AC Milan, as well as time with the Brazilian Football Confederation.

Beyond the traditional pitch, Touros has built a strong reputation in futsal and street soccer. He has won multiple Nike and Adidas street soccer titles and represented the United States at the Red Bull Street Kings World Championship, a global competition highlighting elite freestyle and small-sided players.

In addition to his role at Fontbonne Hall Academy, Touros owns and operates Touros Soccer Training, a New York-based club focused on player development, technical skill-building and confidence for athletes of all ages.

In a Jan. 12 statement on Instagram, the school said it was “excited to welcome Coach Touros and his coaching staff to the Fontbonne family and look forward to the future of Bonnie soccer.”
