The Bay Ridge Food Co-op celebrated the official launch of its membership drive with food, libations and music at the Bay Ridge Public Library, 7223Ridge Boulevard.
The occasion brought together community leaders, local business owners, politicians, BRFC members, and members of other newly forming and long established coops in support of support of the creation of the BRFC and its offerings of healthy food choices for the neighborhood.
Democrats and Republicans were also able to find common ground — Councilman Vincent Gentile and State Senator Marty Golden are now Bay Ridge Food Co-op members.
The Coop will be at the Greenmarket outreach table at the library the first Tuesday and third Saturday of every month,
