Police cuffed a man they suspect of raping a woman he met through a dating app at Hanson Place on July 2.
The 22-year-old victim told cops that she first got to know the 24-year-old man on Tinder and met up with him at his apartment at the corner of Ashland Place around 1 a.m.
The two went to a 21st-floor terrace in the building and had some drinks before the suspect allegedly told the victim that he wanted more, police said. When she refused, the suspect allegedly flung her onto a couch, strangled her, and sexually assaulted her, according to police.
The victim then got dressed, fled the building, and flagged down a cop at Atlantic Terminal. She pointed the officers toward the alleged rapist, who was across the street, and they arrested the man, who was charged with felony rape charges, according to authorities.
