Four hurt in Gerritsen crack-up

A motorist was trapped in his car for 20 minutes following a bone-jarring three-car smashup in Gerritsen Beach. Officials said that a total of four people were rushed to area hospitals after the 2 p.m. collision at the corner of Gerritsen Avenue and Avenue V January 22. Witnesses told authorities that at least one of the cars involved in the smash was knocked into a row of parked cars, damaging two. No life-threatening injuries were reported and no arrests had been made as this paper went to press.
