Need a French maid outfit in a hurry? Fresh out of ghoul face paint for that perfect Frankenstein costume? And what about fake blood — everyone needs fake blood, right?
Thankfully, Ricky’s temporary costume store is back for a second Halloween-season run at the corner of Flatbush Avenue and Bergen Street in Park Slope.
The store, an offshoot of the Ricky’s NYC beauty and cosmetics chain, will open as early as this weekend.
And if it does well this year, there’s even talk of it becoming a permanent fixture on the strip, said the store’s landlord, the hardware mogul Michael Pinchik.
“Bergen Street is turning into a better Bedford Avenue,” said Pinchik, referring to Williamsburg’s hip commercial spine compared to the block of Bergen Street between Flatbush and Fifth avenues that includes the sex toy shop Babeland, an organic food store and a bookstore. “So they’re really attracted to that.”
It also didn’t hurt that the Ricky of Ricky’s — Rick Kenig — lives in the neighborhood.
