Galapagos Art Space hosts salute to street performers

See New York City’s finest subway and street performers celebrate the work of Opus 118 Harlem School of Music, a nonprofit organization, which supports children in NYC schools with underdeveloped music programs, at the Galapagos Art Space, 16 Main Street in DUMBO, July 21 at 9 p.m.

The night will open with a performance by children from Opus 118, then feature a dozen buskers.

Featured artists include Jessy Carolina, Hubby Jenkins, Cour, Ghsts n Guitars, Len Xiang, Glenn Roth, Craig Judelman, Dai Oyima, Yumi Koshigai, Nu Millennium, THOTH, Luellen, Dale Henderson, Abdoo, Vong Pak, Emma Graves, and Luke Ryan.

The suggested donation is $25.

New Yorkers and tourists from across the globe have long been amazed by the wealth of talented musicians found in the subway system, park and streets of New York. Hosted by Neal Jacobs and Lynette Wiley, this event will showcase a classical violinist and cellist, amazing Japanese tap dancers, a traditional Korean percussionist, bizarre fiddlers, fabulous blues musicians and singer⁄songwriters.
