Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who attacked an employee at a video game store in Bergen Beach on Feb. 12.

Authorities say the suspect turned violent after his debit card was declined at the shop on Ralph Avenue between Avenues K and L at 3:50 pm. Police say the suspect, who was with a female companion, walked behind the counter and hit the employee in the face.

The suspect was wearing dark jacket and a hat during the incident and his companion was wearing a black jacket.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-8477, log onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com, or text tips to 274637 and enter “TIP577.” All calls are strictly confidential.
