Splashy crime
Three thugs mugged a 43-year-old on Feb. 6 and doused him with a mysterious liquid.
The crooks confronted their mark at Withers Street between Humboldt Street and Kingsland Avenue at around 8:50 pm and got his attention by asking directions.
“Yo, do you know how to get to…,” one of the crooks asked, but he never specified a destination before throwing the victim to the sidewalk.
After the victim hit the ground, one of the hoodlums sprayed him in the face with an unknown liquid, while the others kicked him and tore through his pockets, snatching cash, iPhone, credit cards, keys, and Metrocard, before fleeing.
Text attack
A crook snatched a 26-year-old woman’s cellphone on Feb. 2 as she composed a text message at the corner of Frost Street and Woodpoint Road.
The thief yanked the T-Mobile phone from the victim’s hands at around 7:10 pm and dashed away towards Graham Avenue.
