Gas is hitting a new low, literally.

A man smashed his car into one gas-pump units, knocking it over, at the Mobil Gas Station on the corner of Knapp Street and Avenue X in Sheepshead Bay on July 17.

There was no fire or explosion, and neither the man driving, nor the two women riding with him were injured in the accident.

According to the fire department, there was no gasoline leak and no sparks from the car hitting the pumps, so no explosion occurred.

The station simply shut down the two pumps in the uprooted unit, and carried on business with its remaining six pumps for the rest of the day.
