Gavel to Gavel

An actor from the CW television drama “One Tree Hill” will be delving into the role of a hardened convict when he is sentenced to a year behind bars for identity theft.

During a brief appearance in Brooklyn Federal Court Friday, Antwon Tanner pleaded guilty to selling Social Security numbers for $10,000.

Tanner, 34, was arrested in April for selling 16 Social Security numbers and three fake cards to an undercover officer for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

He told Judge Carol B. Amon that he was simply a bit player in a more widespread identity theft ring and didn’t run the operation. The numbers, he said, were given to him to sell to someone else, he said.

His attorneys would not tell reporters how Tanner got involved in the scheme.

As part of the plea arrangement, Tanner will be sentenced to a year behind bars on November 20.
