The Fourth Annual Haunted Halloween Carnival of Puppetry Arts will be held October 31 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the First Street Recreation Center of PS 372 between Third & Fourth avenues in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn.

The Haunted Halloween Carnival has proven to be a significant resource for families looking for a safe, stroller friendly, and reasonably priced Halloween event.

Activities include monster mashing with WPLJ 97.7, cookie decorating sponsored by Gourmet Croissants, puppet and mask crafts, make your own silk screen t-shirts with Daydream Silkscreen, trying the coolest flavors from Fuze Beverages, face painting, and carnival games.

Raffles and giveaways include items from 7-11, Top of the Rock, WNBA NY Liberty, NY Sky Ride, Five Guys Burgers, Regal Cinemas, Elope Hats, Poland Spring, Enterprise and more.

There will also be a Bounce House by Send in the Clowns, NY Fire Safety booth, and Puppetry Arts’ popular Haunted House. A costume contest will be held at the end of the event sponsored by Wham-O Toys.

The first 200 kids to arrive get a free Trick-or-Treat bag filled with tons of goodies from the Park Slope Fifth Avenue BID, NBA Store, Intrepid, and Cadbury Candy.

Among those to be onhand will be Snoopy from Met Life, the Brooklyn Cyclones’ Sandy the Seagull, and fan favorites Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, and Jedi Knights of the 501st Empire City Garrison and Echo Base Legions Star Wars Costume Characters.

Puppetry Arts will provide costumes and trick or treat bags to more than 200 at -risk youth from area shelters and foster care programs as well as low-income families from the surrounding communities who then get to enjoy the activities dressed to spook.
