A man plucked a diamond necklace from a woman on Second Place on May 15.
The mugger struck at 5:50 pm, between Court and Smith streets, seizing the jewelry from the 67-year-old woman, leaving her with lacerations that were treated on the scene.
Choked up
Muggers choked a man into submission before robbing him on Baltic Street on May 14, cops said.
One hoodlum attacked the man from behind at 1:40 pm, between Bond and Hoyt streets, strangling him until his accomplice was able to steal the 55-year-old victim’s cellphone, two rings on his fingers and $7.
Out from under
A purse-snatcher nabbed a pocketbook from a woman while she sat under a hair dryer in a Court Street salon on May 11.
It is unclear whether the thief brazenly or furtively obtained the bag after the customer laid it down on the floor of the parlor, which is between Centre and Garnet streets, at 5:35 pm.
The bag contained several credit cards, an iPhone and gold earrings.
