Break it up!

A brute slashed a good Samaritan in the neck as he tried to break up a fight between two ruffians on Kings Highway on July 2.

The victim told police that he spotted two men arguing between W. Seventh and W. Eighth streets at 3:45 am and tried to intervene. But one of the goons didn’t appreciate his butting in, brandishing a sharp object and slashing the victim’s neck, said police.

He was taken to Coney Island Hospital for treatment, officials said.

What a dumbbell

Police arrested a man who they say struck a guy in the head with a five-pound weight at an 86th Street gym on July 1.

The victim was working out at a gym between 24th Avenue and Bay 37th Street at 1:50 am, when out of nowhere a man struck him in the head with a five-pound weight, causing a laceration to his head, according to a police report.

Police were called to the scene and cuffed the man, officials said.

Clean sweep

A woman swung a broom at her relative on 67th Street on June 26.

The victim told police that she went to an apartment between 18th and 19th streets at 8 pm to gather her things when she got into an argument with a relative. The argument turned physical when the irrate woman began punching the victim in the face and then grabbed a broom and swung it at her, officials said.
