Budding eco-buffs had gourds of fun painting orange beauties, listening to music and learning about green energy during “Pumpkin Palooza II” at East River State Park.
Mom, dad and the kids plied their creative side, bedecking jack o’lanterns and getting information about how to reduce their carbon footprint at the annual extravaganza, which transformed the sprawling recreation space on Kent Avenue, between 13th and 14th streets, into an outdoor arts workshop and data base for fall frolickers.
The revel was coordinated by Friends of East River Park.
