Grime−busters volunteer to sweep through park

Prospect Park is sparkling for spring – thanks to the handiwork of big−hearted grimebusters, who spruced up the verdant lady for Hands on New York Day.

More than 150 volunteers from New York Cares spread groundcover, weeded, painted fences and spruced up park pathways as part of the 15th annual citywide spring clean−up, sponsored by HSBC Bank, which also featured the planting of 20,000 trees throughout the five boroughs in support of the MillionTreesNYC campaign.
