Grisly W. 7th slay – Girlfriend faces charges

A 53-year-old woman has reportedly been linked to the grisly murder of a Gravesend man who was found bound to a chair, tortured and stabbed to death Monday night, officials said.

Still, while she may be involved, police sources said Tuesday that she may not have been the one directly responsible for the killing.

As this paper went to press, cops had reportedly charged the woman, who police identified as Raquel Glenn, with murder and weapons possession. She and her boyfriend, murder victim Chiwa Chan, lived together in a home on West 7th Street near Avenue P.

Glenn may have been the same person who placed the frantic 911 call that brought police to the house that night, police said.

When they arrived at the scene at 10:40 p.m. on Monday, they found Chan sitting in a chair dead from multiple stab wounds — but Glenn was nowhere to be found.

He was reportedly secured to the chair with duct tape, had a plastic bag thrown over his head and had a hole drilled into his hand, officials said.

News of the slaying sent shock waves through those living in the tree-lined community, who told reporters that they had little contact with the victim or his live-in girlfriend.

Cops eventually caught up with Glenn and took her in for questioning several hours after the killing.

Police could not confirm by press time whether she was their sole suspect in the case.

“The detectives think that she’s involved, but there may be someone else who did the actual killing,” a source said.

The slaying marks the fourth murder to take place in the 62nd Precinct this year, police said.
