PlayStation prowler
Two gun-toting men assaulted a man and stole his PlayStation 4 after a botched sales transaction on W. Eighth Street on Sept. 17.
The victim told police he met up with the two crooks at 9 am after making a Facebook post to sell his game console. When he arrived, they told him to come to a building near Avenue X, where one of the men showed off a gun before they both stole the console and and then punched the victim when he tried to leave, accorind to the police report.
Hit and robbed
Two brutes hit and robbed a man on Neptune Avenue on Sept. 17.
One of the pillagers struck the victim with a handgun near W. 37th Street at 12:10 pm, cops said. Then the villains told the victim “run your pockets,” and stole his driver’s license and money from his pockets, fleeing on Neptune Avenue, according to authorities.
Chokehold mugging
A tough grabbed a man around his neck and robbed him on Mermaid Avenue on Sept. 19.
The looter approached the victim from behind, grabbed his neck while saying “give me your money,” and then stole $130 near W. 16th Street at 7 am, police reported.
Attendant attacker
Cops cuffed a home attendant who allegedly attacked a woman in her W. 31st Street home on Sept. 14.
The suspect allegedly struck the victim on her head and eyes, pulled her hair, and grabbed her by her left hand, causing redness and bruising, at the woman’s home near Surf Avenue at 9 am, according to police.
The victim was transported to Coney Island Hospital for treatment, officials said.
Gang attack
Three men chased a man and struck him in the head with a baseball bat — knocking out one tooth — on W. 17th Street on Sept. 17.
The victim told police he was chased by three men, pushed to the ground, and assaulted near Bay 50th Street at 10:40 pm.
He was transported to Lutheran Hospital, according to police.
Electronics theft
A sneak lifted a man’s computer, electronics, and paycheck from his construction trailer on Surf Avenue on Sept. 15.
The victim told police he noticed the items were gone after noticing someone had cut open trailer window gate near W. 33rd Street at 8:10 pm.
Drill delinquent
A looter stole a drill and other items from a business on Mermaid Avenue on Sept. 14.
The thief broke into the building and damaged a room’s lock on the first floor near W. 17th Street at 4:30 pm, police said.
Bar grab
Someone stole a woman’s bag from a bar on the Riegelmann Boardwalk on Sept. 16.
The woman told police her bag, which contained her iPhone 8 and a Louis Vuitton purse, was hanging off her chair at the watering hole near W. 15th Street, until she noticed it was missing at 5:50 pm.
She tracked her phone to W. 12th Street until it was turned off, cops said.
N train nogoodnik
Police arrested a woman who they say stole a man’s North Face backpack while he was sleeping on an N train at the Surf Avenue stop on Sept. 18.
According to officers, the woman stole the bag and fled the train at the train station near Stillwell Avenue at 4:25 am while the victim napped.
A transit employee woke up the sleeping victim and then alerted the authorities, who caught the alleged suspect, cops said.
The suspect was also allegedly found in possession of controlled substances and drugs, two credit cards with different names, and pepper spray, according to police.
Apple thief
A man stole two display iPhone models at a cellphone store on Mermaid Avenue on Sept. 18.
The bandit bagged an iPhone 8 and an iPhone X from the store near W. 31st Street at 7:45 pm.
Winter ready
A thief looted an unlocked storage site on W. 25th Street on Sept. 7.
The pillager stole a John Deere snow blower, salt spreader, and other items from the container near Mermaid Avenue at 11 am.
Snooze steal
A sneak swiped a man’s cell phone after he fell asleep on the Q train at Surf Avenue on Sept. 22.
The victim told police he boarded the train at 72nd Street, fell asleep, and woke up at the stop near Stillwell Avenue to discover his phone was missing at 4:30 am.
