Armed home invasion

Three armed bandits broke into a W. 23rd Street home on Jan. 14 and held the occupants at gunpoint while they robbed them.

The victims, a married couple, heard a knock at the door to their apartment between Mermaid and Neptune avenues in Coney Island at 12:45 pm, a police report states. The husband looked through a peep hole and didn’t see anyone, but he opened the door anyway, police said. Then, three armed men wearing all black burst into the apartment, ordered the husband and wife to sit on a couch, and put a sheet over the couple, police said. The gunmen locked the terrified couple in a bathroom and fled.

The victims emerged to find their phone line was cut and the home invaders had taken $1,400, credit cards, and electronics, a police report states.

Rape victim speaks

A Brighton Beach teen reported a rape this week that happened two years ago.

The victim said a 16-year-old raped her at 4 pm on June 10, 2012 in an apartment between Brighton Beach Avenue and Brightwater Court in Brighton Beach, a police report states.

Knife to neck

Two brutes put a blade to a delivery driver’s throat and took $50 from the man on Bayview Avenue on Jan. 14.

The victim dropped off a delivery between Neptune Avenue and W. 33rd Street in Coney Island at 7:05 pm, police said. When he got back into his car, two men in their 30s came up — one put a knife to his neck and said “Give me your money,” a police report states.

The driver complied, and the pair ran north toward the Bayview Houses, officials said.

Shot in his car

Someone shot a man as he sat in his car on W. 24th Street on Jan. 12.

The victim flagged down a cop between Mermaid and Neptune avenues in Coney Island at 9:35 pm and told the officer someone shot him several times while he was sitting in his vehicle, police said. Paramedics took the man to a hospital in serious but stable condition, a police report states.

Elder abuse

Police arrested a 25-year-old man who they said pistol-whipping a 66-year-old man during an argument in a W. 21st Street apartment on Jan. 14.

The pair was having a war of words between Surf and Mermaid avenues in Coney Island at 11:15 pm when the younger man allegedly took a swing at the elder with a pistol, police said.

Bar raided

A felonious good-for-nothing broke the glass door of a Surf Avenue bar and stole $12,000 from the pour house on Jan. 17.

The thief broke into the watering hole between W. 15th and W. 21st Streets in Coney Island at 4:40 am, police said.
