Hate the fare hike? Here’s your song!

The MTA fare hike finally has a protest song!

Bushwick folk singer Frank Hoier, best known to Brooklyn Paper readers for his hit LP “Lovers and Dollars” (and the single “Jesus Don’t Give Tax Breaks to the Rich”), returned to our offices this week to sing his new folk classic, “Mister MTA Blues.”

The slide-guitar, “Exile on Main Street”-influenced track puts the blame squarely where the Bard of Bushwick thinks it belongs: on the limo-driven men and women who run the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

Hoier will sing these and other folk, blues and bluegrass hits every other Wednesday at Jalopy in the Columbia Street Waterfront District and every other Thursday at Northeast Kingdom in Bushwick.
