The Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture presents, as part of its “Sunday Platforms” series, “The Health Care Crisis Has a Solution,” with Dr. Jaime Torres, president of Latinos for National Health Insurance, at 11 a.m., October 4 in the main hall of the Society’s Meeting House, 53 Prospect Park West in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn.
Dr. Torres is a leader in mobilizing a humane conversation about achieving health care for all.
Also: Abby Scher, editorial director of progressive think tank Political Research Associates, will lead “The Right-wing Backlash: Who, Why and What We Can Do” at 1 p.m.
Platforms are held every Sunday morning, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the main hall of the Meeting House, and are free and open to the public.
