Canarsie’s 69th Precinct will be taking part in this year’s Start! Heart Walk in Prospect Park (enter Ninth Street and Prospect Park West), October 11, rain or shine, benefiting the American Heart Association.
Registration and activities commence at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 11 a.m. Walkers have their choice of a 3.5 mile or 1.5 mile route. Pets and strollers are welcome, too.
The precinct has set a personal goal to raise funds needed for critical heart disease, and stroke research and education.
You can help your neighborhood precinct raise funds and protect those you love by making a donation online. The American Heart Association’s online fundraising website has a minimum donation amount of $25.
If you prefer a smaller amount, you can do so by sending a check directly to the 69th Precinct 9720 Foster Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11236, made payable to The American Heart Association.
