HISTORIC JAZZ

Beginning April
2, the Brooklyn Historical Society will team up with Park Slope’s
Up Over Jazz Cafe to present a series of Friday night jazz performances
at the society’s newly renovated building in Brooklyn Heights.



The sessions begin with trumpeter and Sun Ra disciple Ahmed
Abdullah (pictured) and his trio on April 2; jazz guitar with
the Darryl Pooser Duo on April 16; the Eric Wyatt Trio on April
23; and the Sam Newsome Duo on April 30.



All concerts take place from 6:30 pm to 8 pm at the Brooklyn
Historical Society, at the corner of Pierrepont and Clinton streets,
and are free with Society admission of $6 adults, $4 seniors
