Home-invader steals $300 from Carroll Gardens octogenarian

A hard-hearted home-invader swiped hundreds of dollars from an old lady in her Carroll Gardens apartment on Friday, according to police.

The brute barged into a senior apartment building on First Street between Hoyt and Bond streets at about 8:30 am, and entered the 87-year-old’s quarters, pushing aside a nurse who was just leaving the apartment and locking the door behind him, a police spokesman said.

The jerk then proceeded to rummage through his victim’s apartment while the old timer lay in bed, snatching a pocketbook and nearly $300 in cash before running off, according to a report.

The thief did not injure anyone in the robbery, police said.
