Institute is expanding

Pratt Institute will double its presence on Myrtle Avenue by building a mammoth, eco-friendly building on corner of Grand Avenue, one block from its main Clinton Hill campus and two blocks from Prattstore, the Institute’s other Myrtle Avenue building.

The planned 120,000-square-foot structure will feature a landscaped roof, solar panels, and an atrium allowing views into, and through, the building from both the Myrtle and Willoughby avenue sides.

The building, designed by a Pratt alum, will house academic offices and retail space. It will be done by summer 2009, the Institute said.
