Sleepy sleuth
A man broke into a woman’s Ridge Boulevard apartment to take a nap on June 15.
The woman told police she found him sleeping when she returned to the apartment near 72nd Street around 10 am.
Electric faux
A phony called a Third Avenue resident on June 11 and pretended he was a rep from the Con Edison electric company, threatening to shut off the man’s electricity if he did not pay him more than $1,000 via Bitcoin.
The man, who lives between 73rd and 74th streets, paid the money just before 5 pm, and was subsequently unable to contact the caller, he told police.
In the money
A robber stole more than $2,600, plus headphones, a diamond necklace, a designer watch, and a laptop from an 85th Street home on June 11.
The victim told police she returned to her home between Fourth and Fifth avenues around 10:30 pm and noticed her top lock was locked and the items were gone.
Home run
A nogoodnik threw a baseball at a man’s car and struck his windshield on 66th Street on June 14.
The incident occurred between Fifth and Sixth avenues at 3 pm, cops said. The lout then fled the location on foot, according to the report.
Where there’s a will
A punk broke the glass window of the door of a Bay Ridge Parkway apartment building on June 15.
The incident occurred between Third and Fourth avenues at around 10:30 am, authorities reported.
Car raider
A punk stole a man’s license, insurance card, and credit and debit cards from his car parked on 67th Street on June 16.
The theft occurred at Colonial Road around 8 pm, when the man was in Owl’s Head Park, he told cops.
