A thief stole a pricey coat from an Amity Street home overnight on Dec. 4.

Cops say that the burglar entered the apartment, which is between Clinton and Court streets, after 4 pm. When the 39-year-old resident returned the next morning at 11:30 am, she discovered that her fancy Michael Kors coat had been swiped.

De-generated

Two thieves stole a generator out of a building on Columbia Street on Dec. 17, but were collared shortly thereafter.

Cops say that the theft must have occurred at 8:20 pm, when no one was inside the building near Seabring Street. But the theft of the DeWalt generator was quickly discovered, and cops nabbed their men.

Diner dashed

Two restaurants on Court Street were burglarized hours apart from each other on Dec. 17.

Cops say that a thief broke into the front window of a diner at Warren Street at around 3:20 am and took a cash register filled with $678.

Then, at 11:30 that night, a thief entered Buddy’s Burrito, which is at Kane Street, and stole a register contining $2,500.

Collar minor

Cops nabbed a teen who tried to break into a Coffey Street home on Dec. 12.

Police said that the 15-year-old tried to enter the home, which is between Ferris and Conover streets at around 3 pm, but the victim saw him, and later ID’d him during a canvass of the neighborhood, police said.

Car trouble

Thieves took tires and rims off a new car on Summit Street on Dec. 16.

Cops said that the four wheels were lifted off the appropriately named Honda Fit between Hicks and Columbia streets just after midnight.
