Robber baron
A thief punched a 17-year-old boy and tried to rob him on Union Avenue on April 2.
The victim told police he was near Bayard Street at 2:30 pm when four teens surrounded him, and their ringleader punched his face and demanded, “Run your pockets.”
The goons chased him for a block but the victim ran into a nearby school and called the police.
Bag drop
A thug struck a man’s face and took his bag on Union Avenue on April 5.
The victim told police he was near Meeker Avenue at 4:20 am when the jerk approached him from behind and struck his face with a metal object.
The thief stole the man’s book bag and ran off, but the victim chased him and recovered the bag.
iPhone snatch
A thief stole a woman’s iPhone outside a N. Seventh Street subway station on April 1, police said.
The victim told police she was near Driggs Avenue at 12:26 pm when the thief snatched her phone and ran off. She chased him and tackled him, and he threw the phone under a car, shouting, “Take your phone back!” Cops arrested a suspect that day.

A thief stole a woman’s phone on a Manhattan-bound L train at Metropolitan Avenue on April 4.
The victim told police she was on the train at 8:50 am when the thief snatched her phone and ran out the doors as the train pulled into the Lorimer Street station.
iPhone grab
Four thieves mugged a woman and stole her iPhone on Berry Street on April 6.
The victim told police she was near N. 11th Street at 9:55 pm when the group surrounded her. One thief grabbed her phone from her hand, and the cohort fled down N. 11th Street.
Phony maintenance
Three swindlers posing as maintenance men stole $2,500 from a Meserole Avenue apartment on April 6.
The victim told police he let the men into his building near Leonard Street at 10:30 am because they said they were going to fix his window.
One distracted him while the others went to his bedroom and took the money, he said.
Laptops lifted
A thief stole two laptops from a N. Seventh Street apartment on April 8.
The victim told police he was sleeping in his apartment near Wythe Avenue at 3:30 am when he heard voices, but didn’t think anything of it. When he woke up at 9 am, though, his computers were gone.
Drill master
A thief stole a saw and drill from a Manhattan Avenue business on April 4.
The building manager told cops he locked up the basement of the business near Meserole Avenue at 3 pm, but when he returned at 7 am the next day, several tools were missing.
Tires taken
A thief stole tires and rims from a car parked on Meeker Avenue at April 3.
The driver told cops he parked his car near Sutton Street on at 10 pm, but when he returned at 11 am the next day, his tires were gone.
Wallet swindled
A thief smashed the windows of a car parked on N. 12th Street and stole some cash inside it on April 6.
The driver said she parked her car near Kent Avenue at 9 pm, but when she returned three hours later, two rear windows were broken and her money was missing.
Truck swiped
Thieves stole an American Wagoner parked on Wythe Avenue on April 6.
Police say that surveillance video shows three suspects breaking into the car parked between N. 11th and N. 12th streets at 4:04 am.
