Jo on fake black lady: Whatevs

What does it matter? Transracial, transgender, transcontinental?

The media has been in a feeding frenzy since the news broke about Rachel Dolezal, a white woman who pretended to be black. Well the good thing is that it’s taken the heat off Bruce — now known as Caitlyn — Jenner.

We need to get this straight — the fundamental basis of this country is freedom. That’s freedom with a big, fat “F.”

If Rachel Dolezal wants to identify as a black woman, then let her.

We really need to ask ourselves as a nation, what are the important issues? Does how she identifies with her race affect us individually? Does her identity affect the national security of the country? Does her racial identity impact the economy? Does it solve our unemployment problem or the fact that our government and big business sold out our manufacturing industry?

That’s a really big fat “No” all around.

As my daughter put it: “Whether she’s black or white, has a penis or not, I don’t care. Now if a nuclear bomb goes off over my head, or I can’t find a job when I graduate — then that I care about.”

So there you are. What really matters to the country is — if a bomb goes off, we’ve got something to worry about. If Rachel Dolezal wants to be a black women, we got nothing.

The racial tension in this nation is only exacerbated by the press, race baiters, and a government that sees fit to keep the myth going to hide the fact that there are many more dangerous and pressing issues going on here than what we are led to believe.

It’s the old bait-and-switch at its best: “Let’s keep the hoi polloi busy with racial divisiveness and minutia so that we can continue to swindle their eyes out of their sockets.”

Ain’t it grand? The Fourth Estate has become the puppet of a crooked, bloated, scheming government. Instead of the media doing its job of exposing corruption, the high rate of unemployment, inflation, and lack of industry, it sees to obfuscate the truth with nonsense about sex, race, gender, and — spoiler alert — how Home Box Office killed off Jon Snow on “Game of Thrones” last Sunday.

Not for nuthin™ Rachel, but if you want to be a black woman and identify with that race, I say: “You go, girlfriend.”
