Jumped for cell

A trio of toughs beat up a guy for his phone on 62nd Street on June 15.

The fearsome threesome followed the guy for a few blocks and jumped him between 23rd and 24th avenues in Bensonhurst at 9:45 pm, police said.

The goons threw the guy to the ground and repeatedly punched him in the face before wrenching his phone from his hand and fleeing on 62nd Street toward 23rd Avenue, a police report states.

Free car

An opportunistic crook took off in a man’s unlocked car parked on Benson Avenue back in March, but the victim reported the crime to police on June 11.

The victim told police he parked his car near Bay 35th Street in Bensonhurst on March 9, leaving the keys in the center console and the doors unlocked, but when he returned a week later, someone had taken it, police said.

The 34-year-old waited until June 11 to tell police what happened, a police report states.

Locker room rummager

Someone stole a purse from an unsecured locker at an 86th Street gym on June 14.

The victim left her stuff in a locker at the facility between 20th and 21st avenues in Bensonhurst at 6:20 pm, but she failed to lock the locker, and when she returned, her purse was gone, police said.

The thief nabbed credit and debit cards, a public benefit card, and the woman’s identification, a police report states.
