Two punks stole a 14-year-old kid’s wallet on Oct. 8 — but then again, it wasn’t really his wallet.
The teenager had actually just stolen the billfold at around 2 pm and was waiting to make his getaway on a 2 train in the station at Joralemon and Court streets when the two punks struck.
Silver bullet
Two perps mugged two young women at the corner of York and Jay streets on Oct. 12. At just before 7 pm, one thug said, “Give me your bag” and pulled up his shirt to reveal a silver handgun, cops said.
The women complied, and handed over their purses without a fight. The perps then raced off toward Bridge Street.
Break-ins!
Perps broke into two apartments on Oct. 9, making off with fancy electronics in both incidents.
The first burglar broke into an apartment on Court Street, near Pacific Street, through the fire escape. The victim told cops he was visiting his girlfriend, and when he returned home next evening, his back window was wide open and his iPod and digital camera were missing.
In the second burglary, a perp broke into apartment four blocks away on Atlantic Avenue, near Henry Street. This time, the burglar used a crowbar to pry open the front door, and stole a $600 digital camera. The victim was also out of his apartment for the night.
Camera man
A perp stole a woman’s purse in a Fulton Street bank on Oct. 6.
The woman was inside the bank at the intersection of Fulton Street and Red Hook Lane at around 11 am, and briefly put her bag down on a counter. When she turned around moments later, it was gone.
Police said security footage shows a man approaching the woman. A few frames later, the man — and the bag — are gone.
Play ball
Two punks in school uniforms stole a grandmother’s purse in Brooklyn Bridge Park on Oct. 6.
The 72-year-old woman was sitting at around 1 pm with her grandchild near the park’s entrance at the corner of Plymouth and Main streets in DUMBO. She placed her wallet on the baby’s stroller, but two punks ran past, snatched it, and raced out of the park.
Holy steal
A robber stole a man’s bag as he was praying in a church near the corner of Jay and Willoughby Streets on Sept. 29.
The victim, who went to the church just before noon, rested his bag by a pew — but after the service, the bag was gone.
