The Claudio Reyna Foundation (CRF) and the Hebrew Educational Society (HES) held the first of four free soccer clinics for children ages nine to 12 years of age at Seaview Park in Canarsie.
Claudio Reyna, TJ Kostecky, the current “Head Men’s Soccer Coach” for Long Island University, and its Division I Soccer Team provided the coaching for the many Southeast Brooklyn youth who signed up for the soccer clinic eager to have a chance at becoming part of the Claudio Reyna Soccer Academy Team Brooklyn.
A second clinic will be held October 5 from 1-3 p.m. at Seaview Park for those youth who were unable to make the first clinic. The clinic is limited to 150 youngsters.
More than 120 local youth participated in the Reyna Soccer Clinic, as their parents — delighted with the opportunity for their child to play soccer and meet Reyna, a great soccer star — looked on, while their children learned new and refined present skills.
The Claudio Reyna Soccer Academy will register 25 youngsters in October and November who have a level of soccer skills and, along with their parents, commit to the academy’s Code of Conduct of Academic success, Athletics, Attitude, Appearance, Attendance and community Association.
