The Narrows Botanical Garden in Bay Ridge
is two, two, two treats in one. Not only is it a lush, 4.5-acre
landscape with butterfly gardens, a turtle sanctuary, shady tree
groves and a Zen garden, but each summer, it hosts a series of
free outdoor films.

The first of the five-film series is the family friendly musical,
"The King and I," starring the late great baldie, Yul
Brenner (pictured). It will begin on Friday, June 16 at sundown
(8:29 pm) on the garden’s Great Lawn (raindate, June 23). That
gives you plenty of daylight hours to lay down a blanket or set
up a lawn chair and enjoy a picnic before the film (although
popcorn and snacks are available).

For a complete schedule of films, or for directions, go to www.narrowsbg.org.
