It was egg-stravagant.
Kids flocked to King’s Plaza for a day of fun and games on March 24, as part of the shopping center’s “EggStravaganza” Easter event.
There was plenty of fun for everyone down at Kings Plaza’s Center Court, but the early birds got a little something extra — the first 150 kids received lucky eggs, which contained gift certificates and family four packs to shows like “Stomp,” “The Gazillion Bubble Show,” “The Victory Theater,” and other family friendly New York attractions.
Aside from the prizes, the folks from Radio Disney showed up to entertain the youngsters with sing-alongs and trivia contests, plus the usual gambit of kids games, including hula hoop contests and games of hot potatoe, with prizes including stickers, posters and, best of all, Disney DVDs.
“They had a great time,” said John Scatturo, marketing director at Kings Plaza. “The kids are big fans of Disney and they know all the songs by heart.”
Of course, an Easter party wouldn’t be complete without the big bunny himself, who was more than happy to take pictures with the tots.
“We like to use the phrase family friendly entertainment, and that’s really important for us,” said Scatturo. “We like to provide the kind of entertainment where the parents know it’s going to be fun and wholesome for the kids.”
