They’ve got style!

Local fashionistas competed to show off the finest fall couture and bring them to life during the first Kings Plaza Style Challenge at the Mill Basin mall on Oct. 14, hosted by Popsugar and the shopping center. Three trend-setters raced against the clock to pick out the best autumn outfits, and only one took home the prize, but the vogueish event was still a good time for everyone, said Sharon Hambright, who was doing her weekend shopping when she spotted the exciting event.

“It was fabulous,” said Hambright, who lives in Canarsie. “I definitely enjoyed myself.”

Hambright even won a raffle and got to take home some new body lotion, coffee, a sleeping mask, and a fresh pillowcase — all packed inside her Popsugar gift bag — and she got a fresh coat of sparkling polish on her nails, she said.

“It was real nice and glittery,” she said.

And one lucky fashion-loving lady got to celebrate her 11th birthday a few days early when she also won the raffle, said her mom Kristin Jackson.

“She likes stuff like that,” said Jackson, who lives in Mill Basin. “She wanted to watch it.”

The winner of the challenge was mononymous stylist Delon, who showed off a seasonable stripes look — those looking for his outfits from the challenge and the latest fall trends on display during the event can check out Kings Plaza’s stores, including Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, and Fashion to Figure for the trends showed off during the challenge, according to a mall spokeswoman.
