Learn about Jesus — in a bar!

Event of the day: Steve Levin, arts and beer!

Jesus drank alcohol. And even St. Paul said, “Take a little wine to your stomach.”

So, clearly, these esteemed religious men would not be opposed to us enjoying our Scriptures with a little spirit.

Fortunately, there’s “Theology on Tap,” a series of three upcoming discussions led by Father Anthony Andreassi of the Brooklyn Oratory at Ceol on Smith Street.

Religion? At an Irish pub known more for cacophony than Catholicism.

“It’s easier to reach people with a beer,” said Andreassi.

The first session, on Feb. 22, is called “Holy Mutha Church! What Everyone Needs to Know.” Subsequent discussion sessions are on March 8 (“Shaken not Stirred: Religion and Politics”) and March 22 (“Catholics and Healthcare, WTF?! — What’s the Focus?”).

It’s not the first time that the Brooklyn Oratory has used beer as a lure. Four years ago, Andreassi had a session in Park Slope that drew about four dozen people.

This year, he said, he made sure to schedule the event after football season, and within Lent.
