Let the games begin – Ribbon is cut on refurbished playgrounds

Students, school and local officials were on hand for the much-anticipated groundbreaking of two new refurbished community playgrounds on Sullivan Street in Red Hook.

The $1 million Patrick F. Daly and PS 15 playgrounds, one on the Van Brunt Street side of Sullivan, and the other on the Richards Street side, was a cooperative effort by the city’s Department of Parks and Recreation, the Trust for Public Land, and Good Shepherd Services.

While the larger of the two playgrounds
