Hard shot

Cops are looking for a 27-year-old man who they say attacked his friend with marbles on Nassau Avenue on May 14.

A 30-year-old woman told police she was arguing with her friend at her apartment between McGuiness Boulevard and Eckford Street at 10 pm when he suddenly threw marbles at her. He also allegedly threw her coffee table across the room and it shattered.

The man left, but came back the next day, painting insults on the cement in her backyard, police reported.

Bottle rocketed

A man tried to break up a bar fight that had spilled on to Manhattan Avenue on May 18 — and got hit with a bottle for his troubles.

The 34-year-old man told police that he ran to help break up a fight that was raging outside a bar between Berry Street and Driggs Avenue at 3:45 am.

As he was trying to break up the fight, a tough guy hit him in the face a glass bottle and then punched him in the face. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital. The brawler has not been found.

The eyes have it

Police are keeping their eyes open for a thief who stole a doctor’s ophthalmology equipment out of his car parked on Kingsland Avenue on May 7.

The victim told police he parked his vehicle for the night near Richardson Street. When he when to his car at 6:45 am the next day, he found the passenger-side window broken and his equipment and a stack of compact discs gone.

Crowded train robbery

A sneaky robber stole a man’s iPhone from his back pocket as he was riding the G train on May 12.

The victim told police he was on the Greenpoint-bound train when he felt someone bump into him on the crowded train.

When he got off at the Manhattan Avenue stop at 12:05 am, he discovered that his phone was gone.

Stealing pipe

Police arrested a 27-year-old man who they say pretended to be an employee of a contractor so that he could steal $1,200 worth of copper pipe from a plumbing store on Greenpoint Avenue on May 5.

The manager of the store between Manhattan Avenue and Franklin Street told police the supposed contractor came in at 1:09 pm and said he needed the pipe. He put it on the account of a contractor the store has worked with in the past and walked out with $1,200 worth of copper pipe, cops reported.
