Lutheran Medical Center has been named to the Community Value Index (CVI) top 100 hospitals in the country list for the fourth year in a row. Scoring in the top 20 percent, it has also been designated a “Five-Star” facility.

The CVI is a proprietary index created to offer a measure of the value that a hospital provides to its community. The annual listing identifies the nation’s top hospitals that are low cost, low charge hospitals, which use financial resources efficiently while maintaining a high degree of community value. This year’s findings are published in Cleverley Associates’ “State of the Hospital Industry-2009 edition.”
