Macy’s invests in Public School 269 students

Bookworms at Public School 269 can now embark upon exciting word and cyber expeditions in a brand new library, funded by Macy’s.

Students and teachers celebrated the grand opening of their Library Media Center with a ceremony at the school, 1957 Nostrand Avenue, attended by Macy’s Regional Veep Larry Mentzer.

Mentzer accepted an award of gratitude on behalf of the retail giant, which endowed the school with its 2008 Library Enhancement Grant.

The grant was obtained through the Department of Education’s Office of Strategic Partnerships, whose representative, Arlene Dominguez, was also presented an award of appreciation.
