Man and girlfriend killed by Brooklyn subway train

A man hurled himself and his girlfriend into the path of an oncoming C train in Bushwick July 26, authorities said.

Witnesses told police they saw 42-year-old Cynthia Raiser of Queens dragged onto the tracks by her 54-year-old boyfriend at Broadway Junction at 4:45 pm, when the Manhattan-bound train struck them.

Paramedics found Raiser dead inside the station, but her boyfriend lingered long enough to be transported to Brookdale Hospital, where he died, cops said.

Raiser had celebrated her birthday on Wednesday, the day before what police are now investigating as a murder, according to the woman’s father, who told the New York Daily News that he warned her to stay away from her boyfriend.

“The guy was a mental case. But she don’t listen to me,” James Raiser told the Manhattan tabloid. “I say, ‘Stay away.’”

Police said they were withholding the man’s name until his next of kin can be notified.
