Man breaks teen’s jaw over backpack

Beaten for backpack

A 21-year-old mugged a teenager of his backpack on Rockaway Parkway on Oct. 7 — leaving him with a broken jaw.

The victim was between Avenues J and K at 1 pm when the suspect jumped him, beating him mercilessly as he forced the teen to give up his backpack.

But the thief didn’t get far — cops arrested him a short time later, charging him with assault and robbery.

Two on one

Two goons pulled a gun on a man on Ralph Avenue on Oct. 4, taking his wallet and credit cards.

The victim told police that he was nearing Flatlands Avenue at 11:47 pm when the thieves stopped him, flashed their weapon, and ran off with his property.

Robbed of $1,400

A pair of thieves flashed a handgun as they robbed a 35-year-old on Avenue O and on Oct. 5.

The victim was nearing Utica Avenue at 10:30 pm when the suspects approached, pulled the gun, and went through his pockets, taking $1,400.

Busted for DWI

Cops arrested a 42-year-old man who they say was drunk behind the wheel on Farragut Road on Oct. 8.

Cops were patrolling near Remsen Avenue at 11:20 pm when they found the man slumped over the wheel of a 2005 Nissan Murano.

When he woke up, he confessed to driving drunk and hitting another car near the corner before passing out.
